It was found that the mother-in-law was ill and admitted into the hospital owned and managed by a pastor, Olaniyi Taiwo, aged 42, of a Cherubim and Seraphim church.

The 60-year-old was being treated with diabetes and cough last Thursday, 30 June, while her daughter, who is a nurse, Fatima and her pregnant daughter-in-law was taken care of in the hospital.

Taiwo, the founder of Ona Iwa Mimo, Cherubim and Seraphim, located behind the Olofa Grammar School, Ofatedo, Osogbo, also manages the hospital in the same compound.

As per Fatima, the pastor gave them a local black soap to use on Monday evening.

He gave us a local black soap with which we had to bathe my son, my mother, who is sick, and my sister-in-law, but he asked me not to use the soap.

Fatima slept on a chair, and when she woke up, she noticed that her son was not breathing and immediately called the doctor to check on him, and he told me that he was dead.

Anifowose stated that he left his wife to sleep in the hospital with her mother while he was looking after his children.
