PM Roosevelt Skerrit invites citizens to celebrate Ti Vilaj Kwéyòl

PM Roosevelt Skerrit invited every citizen to join the Festival from 11 AM to 8 PM at Botanic Gardens from October 24-26, 2023.

Roseau, Dominica: Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, yesterday announced the beginning of Ti Vilaj Kwéyòl – Tout Biten Domnik Time in Dominica.

The four-day Festival yesterday marked its first day with an ultimate Independence Daytime Creole Event at 11 AM at Botanic Gardens.

Ti Vilaj Kwéyòl was delayed for a day due to weather complications and reduced to three days instead of four. PM Roosevelt Skerrit invited every citizen to join the Festival from 11 AM to 8 PM at Botanic Gardens from October 24-26, 2023.

On his social media account, he wrote, “Now, there’s no excuse not to join us at the Botanic Gardens with your friends and family, support our local businesses and food vendors, and celebrate everything that makes Dominica special.”

The entrance fee for everyone is $10 and $20 for special venue drop; no entry fee for Children under 12 years.

Yesterday, the first day of Vilaj Kwéyòl was celebrated under the theme ‘Youth Explosion.’ “Signal Band” and ”Reo” entertained the populace gathered at Botanic Gardens. The Music band make every attendee sing and dance in a beautiful environment filled with music and vibes.

The other music groups and participators who performed yesterday were Xplosive Band, Ignition Band, D Rush, DJ Drixx, DJ Realboss, DJ Remz, Pashiwok Dancers, kalinago Dancers, NCCU Bruce Primary School, Umojha CHS, Paix Cultural Group and Castle bruce Primary School.

PM Roosevelt Skerrit also shared the details for the lineup of performances scheduled for Day 2 and Day 3 of Ti Vilaj Kwéyòl at Botanic Gardens, Dominica.
