The team landed on 13 September 2023 at Biesiespan 40 Kilometres after the main divisional headquarters of EXERCISE VUK’UHLOME.

The team kick-started a day after arrival by preparing all the equipment needed to assemble the teamster kitchen, which was brought in containers loaded on Cargo Handling Trailers from Bloemfontein Debrug, by drivers who were specially trained to transport them.

With assistance from the service provider as well as the Department of Defence Acquisition Integrated Project Team and South African Army Force Structure element, the team started assembling Teamsters as members of Headquarters 43 South African Brigade with facilitation from the service provider led by Lieutenant Colonel M.J. Brown and Lieutenant Colonel L.E. Molope to build and assemble it.

Teamster is a multipurpose building or structure/facility which is used to prepare meals (kitchen) and dining hall where members can sit and enjoy the meals. This structure is conducive to any weather circumstances and also provides sufficient spacing.

Headquarters 43 SA Brigade members were invited to do the Teamster course which lasted for 2 weeks in Bloemfontein, Department of Defence Mobilisation Centre from the month of August 2023.

Members were able to put all the skills they were taught from a course in practice looking at how the whole structure was projected by themselves.
Other units that were involved in the training or course were Headquarters 46 South African Brigade, 16 Maintenance Unit, 17 Maintenance Unit, and 101 Field Workshop.
