Kenya Health Ministry CS celebrates World Blood Donor’s day

The Cabinet Secretary for Health in the government of Kenya celebrated world Blood Donor Day. To commemorate the occasion, Nakhumicha S. Wafula, paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Murang’a, Irungu Kang’ata. While talking about this visit, Cabinet secretary Wafula said it was in preparation for the annual World Blood Donor Day. The government of Kenya is commemorating the world Blood Donor Day in Murang’a town today.

During the meeting, the Cabinet Secretary Wafula got to know about the current state of healthcare in Murang’a. The attendants of the programme informed the CS about ongoing health projects, and areas where they need the support of the  Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, The occasion for the World Blood Donor Day is significant for health practitioners across the globe. Additionally, Blood donation is a noble act of service.

Several medical practitioners have also taken the initiative to encourage people to Donate Blood. Donating blood is extremely beneficial for the health of the donor. Accordingly, the medical experts urge the people from across the globe to participate wholeheartedly in donating blood and saving lives. 

Meanwhile, The CS reaffirmed the commitment of the health Ministry to support devolved units in enhancing healthcare services across the country. In line with this commitment, she promised to support Murang’a County. The county is taking up the initiative of the digitization of health services. The ministry of health is aiming to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare operations. 

The Cabinet Secretary Nakhumicha S. Wafula believes that the digitization of health services will play a vital role in streamlining processes. It will further serve a great deal in enhancing resource management. Meanwhile, ultimately it would play a significant role in improving the quality of healthcare provided to the residents of Murang’a County.
