Dominica: Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit penned down a heartfelt message for students as the new academic session inaugurates in Dominica.
He shared the message on his official Facebook account citing good luck for the new academic period.
PM Skerrit noted that the students should work hard so that they could pave a strong foundation to accomplish their future endeavours.
“I send my warmest wishes to all of our students as they return to their schools this week. May they embrace learning, and work hard to build a solid foundation for their futures,” he said.
The Prime Minister further prayed for the patience, endurance, strength, and success of the teachers, parents, and guardians as they play a crucial role in the overall well-being of the children.
“Have a very fantastic school year ahead! God Bless!” he wished the children while ending his heartwarming statement.
Notably, as the new academic session began this September, the government has taken every step to make this a memorable event for the children.
The Minister of Housing, Melissa Skerrit scheduled a special Back to School program where she distributed school supplies to more than 276 students. This move by her was set to build excitement among children to start their academic sessions.
The event was held at Peebles Park in Roseau and continues to be a source of support and hope for children to achieve greater success in the future. Minister Melissa Skerrit every year conducts the Back-to-School program and marks it as her desire to support future generations.
The government of Dominica every year celebrates the beginning of the new academic season with the same enthusiasm and passion so that the new beginnings rather than being stressful come out to be enjoyable for young minds.
The authorities also distribute tuition scholarships, providing financial relief to those in need.
Minister Melissa Skerrit stated that these initiatives are a step ahead of her goal to relieve the financial burdens among children so they can have access to education which is a fundamental right.
Citizens under the Prime Minister’s post are extending their wishes to children for a safer and more fruitful year ahead.
