The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has shared the weather update for the country. The weather monitoring agency keeps the country’s people informed on the weather situation. Meteorologist Joyce M Ogunleye presented the weather forecast for the people through the official social media page of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet.

The meteorologist was responsible for informing the people in advance about the kind of weather that they must expect for the day. The forecast will help the country’s people plan for the day. For the morning of Friday, August 4, 2023, The Meteorological Department of Nigeria expects more cloudiness across the country.

Currently, West Africa is in their hurricane season. Accordingly, people are looking at ways to warn themselves of approaching changes in their weather conditions. West Africa is the region which is affected mostly due to the hurricane season. In these parts of the world, the season peaks in the months of August and September.

The forecast suggests they may also witness thunderstorms in some of the country. These include parts of Zamfara, Kano, Katina, Kaduna, and Taraba. Meteorologists predict the possibility of light rains across parts of the central cities. Further. The forecaster suggested that people must look out for light to moderate rains over the country’s southern region.

The weather change can be made apparent by late morning into afternoon hours. The weather conditions will affect Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River and Akwa Ibom states. Meanwhile, some parts of the Federal Capital Territory will face the weather with more intensity coupled with thunder. Finally, the NiMet or the Nigerian Meteorological Agency shared that they expect the same weather in some parts of Benue, Plateau, Kogi, Niger and Kwara,

In contrast, The NiMet expect a busy afternoon in the country’s northern cities. At the conclusion of the forecast, the video shared the expected temperatures for all the various states in the country.
