PM Terrance Drew implementing continuous measures to tackle water scarcity issues

Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance Drew, has been taking several significant measures to tackle all the problems faced by the citizens of the island nation due to the water scarcity issue. The discovery of a successful well in Cayon is a testament to the tiring efforts of the leader towards benefitting and developing his nation to greater heights.

The devastating effects of the climate change has always remained a serious cause of concern for the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis. The island nation has faced numerous obstacles due to less amount of rainfall, resulting in water scarcity.

However, since the day PM Terrance Drew took over the charge, he has been implementing several policies and plans in order to provide all the citizens of his nation with the best possible amenities, ensuring an enhanced and qualitative standard of living of his countrymen.

Moreover, the former administration of Timothy Harris was ruling the nation for almost 7 years. But during their tenure, they have not even made a single effort to help the citizens in facing this prominent problem of water scarcity.

The previous administration run by Harris even worsened the situations for the citizens of the country by stopping Bedrock Exploration and Development Technologies, a water drilling company from doing its work and fulfilling their contract which was signed by them.

However, Dr. Terrance Drew’s unwavering commitment and dedication to serving the people of their nation are visible in his actions. He re-engaged BEAD and restarted the process of drilling, resulting in the foundation of a successful well in Cayon.

The well drilling project in Cayon will play a huge role in providing the citizens with 700,000 to 1 million gallons of water per day. It will fulfil the water demand not only for the residents of Cayon but also for the surrounding communities, offering them potable and clean water facilities.

The restarting of the UAE-funded desal plants at Canada estate and the signing of a 2-million-gallon desal plant contract marks the developments undertaken by Terrance Drew’s administration. All these advancements shed light on the continuous efforts of PM Terrance Drew and his A party towards bringing the best possible solutions to face the challenges occurred due to climate change.
