Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew was filled with joy as he celebrated ‘Good Friday’ with his labour people and Constituency #2. The event was organized at the Easter Egg Hunt.
The prime minister greeted the people and spent some time with them, especially the children, during the event. He took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share glimpses of his visit.
“Today on this Good Friday I felt so good to be among my Labour people and the good people of Constituency #2 at their Easter egg hunt”, added PM Drew.
He extended a vote of thanks to the Tourism Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Marsha Henderson, for organizing an event on Good Friday. Her untiring efforts and dedication concluded the celebration on a special and successful note.
“Well done to Hon Marsha T Henderson, the children had a wonderful time!”, the leader of twin-island Federation remarked.
Additionally, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis has always remained active in taking parts in the various festivities and celebrations in the country, which reflects his kind nature as he preferred to celebrate every festival with his people.
Good Friday is also called the holy day of Christians. This day is celebrated every year with great zeal and enthusiasm. This day is very important for every Christian as it is known as the execution of Jesus and his death at Calvary.
Following the celebration of Good Friday, PM Drew and the people of the country will celebrate ‘Easter’ on March 31, 2024.
According to the New Testament of the Bible, Easter is marked as a day of Jesus’ resurrection from death. It is a festival of peace, love and happiness.
The government of St Kitts and Nevis is organizing various fun activities on the eve of Easter for the citizens of the nations. Such celebrations are expected to bring positive outcomes and will make the event memorable for everyone.
The Deputy PM Dr Geoffrey Hanley will welcome the people in the Grand Easter hunt and Kite Flying festival in East Basseterre. The event is scheduled to be held at the Newtown Playing Field.
