Anambra: Obi-Okoye receives commissioners local govt, tourism in his office

The Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, and his Culture, Entertainment and Tourism counterpart, Don Onyenji

The Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, and his Culture, Entertainment and Tourism counterpart, Don Onyenji, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Sir Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, on Friday, September 1, 2023. Ifeatu Obi-Okoye is the Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

The Commissioners join the litany of party members, friends and associates of the State APGA Chairman, who have thronged the new State All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Office. The aim was to show solidarity with him and pledge support to the New Solution Agenda he is bringing to APGA leadership in Anambra State.

While he was receiving the commissioners, Chief Obi-Okoye noted that his Greater Solution Movement is a task that requires concerted efforts of all stakeholders across the board to come to fruition.

He also expressed that Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, chose the best hands to help achieve his vision of a liveable and prosperous homeland.

Earlier, in an emotion-laden speech, the APGA State Deputy Chairman, Prince Paul Uzor (JP), expressed appreciation to Chief Obi-Okoye, noting that his people have been given a fair opportunity to serve in the government of the day and the party.

He assured that the Igala-speaking communities of Anambra State, as well as the entire Anambra West Council Area, where the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs hails from, will keep re-echoing the gospel of New Solution Movement in every household, kindred and community in their zone.

Highpoint of the visit wasfacility tour of offices in the new magnificent APGA Regional Secretariat by the commissioners and some major APGA stakeholders that accompanied them.

Other members of the state exco that were present during the visit included the state youth leader, Hon Tochukwu Obiadi, state treasurer, Mrs Nweke Veronica and Hon Okoli Ikechukwu (Iykon), the Assistant Organizing Secretary, APGA Anambra State.
