Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire applauds various events at Jazz and The Art events

The Deputy Prime Minister of Prime Minster of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire recently took to his social media to share his reflections on the first week of the Saint Lucia Jazz and the Art Festival.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Prime Minster of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire recently took to his social media to share his reflections on the first week of the Saint Lucia Jazz and the Art Festival. The Deputy Prime Minister also handles the responsibility for the Ministry of Tourism, investment and the creative industries. Accordingly, ensuring that the music festival is successful is among his duties.

Accordingly, Dr Hilaire reflected on the success of the Jazz and The Art Festival opening ceremony. The event featured a crowd of thousands of patrons who attended the event to enjoy the offering of the island nation. The Prime Minister, Philip J Pierre, was also present at the opening ceremony, in Mindoo Philip Park.

Deputy Prime Minister Hilaire confessed that he was feeling nostalgic afte the return of the opening ceremony of Jazz and The Art. The Prime Minister also confessed that it was really heartwarming to see the participation and turnout of Saint Lucians at the various events. Over the weekend, the opening ceremony took place on Friday, May 5. Saturday and Sunday, Saint Lucia witnessed the execution of the fringe events.

Dy Prime Minster Ernest Hilaire shared his experience of the first week of the festivities on his social media account. He wrote that The return of the opening to Mindoo Philip Park was nostalgic. At the same time, he confessed that the event brought back memories of prior events at MPP. He also added that the fringe events on Saturday and Sunday in Babonneau, Desruisseaux and Soufriere offered unique experiences.

Further, Deputy Prime Minister Hilaire shared that they also launched the Arts in the City component on May 7, Sunday at the Central Library. The Arts component will transform the city centre into a creative hub for the week. The arts in the city events are a special part of the Jazz and the Art Festival. These events will take place from May 7 to May 11. 2023. Dr Hilaire stated that he is looking forward to all the events in the week.
