Saint Lucia: PM Philip J Pierre expresses excitement on start of Jazz and Art

Philip J Pierre and Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire welcomed a large crowd of spectators to the official opening ceremony of the Saint Lucia Jazz and the art festival. The country hosted the opening ceremony for the 25th edition of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Art Festival at the Mindoo Philip Park in Marchand Castries.

The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre and Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire welcomed a large crowd of spectators to the official opening ceremony of the Saint Lucia Jazz and the art festival. The country hosted the opening ceremony for the 25th edition of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Art Festival at the Mindoo Phillip Park in Marchand Castries. The Prime Minister and his deputy shared several glimpses of the event on his social media account.

PM Philip J Pierre applauded the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism for leading the effort to host a successful opening event. The Prime Minister also extended his deep gratitude to the Royal Police Force of Saint Lucia for keeping the opening ceremony incident free. The country has hosted Saint Lucia Jazz and the Art Festival for the last 25.

In over two decades and a half, the country has garnered a reputation for the festival. Accordingly, the event is considered one of the most popular in the Caribbean. The opening ceremony featured highly anticipated performances from local music artists.

The return of the Jazz and the Art Festival for the 25th edition attracted thousands of patrons to the opening ceremony. The turnout of people from all walks of life will assist in reinvigorating the economy of the country. It is also beneficial for the small businesses operating in the island nation. Accordingly, PM Pierre was excited to welcome “Thousands of patrons” to the Saint Lucia Jazz and the Art opening ceremony.

Additionally, taking to his social media, PM Philip J Pierre congratulated the Minister for Tourism, Dr Ernest Hilaire and his staff for executing such an epic return! In the same breath, he expressed his hope that Saint Lucia could enjoy without any untoward incidents throughout the festival. Accordingly, he wrote, ” Over the next week, let us continue to have incident-free events so that we all can bask in the glory of rebuilding our world-class event.

The Prime Minister shared his excitement for the return of the festival and asserted that he was looking forward to its success.
