Dominica: PM Roosevelt Skerrit honours women on Intl Women’s Day

The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, recently took to his social media account to extend his greetings to the people of Dominica on International Women’s Day. He expressed his pride in the achievements that the women of Dominica have managed to achieve in the tenure of their respective careers.

He expressed his pride in the achievements that the women of Dominica have managed to achieve in the tenure of their respective careers.

He shared a social media post to commemorate International Women’s Day. He wrote: We celebrate your grace and intelligence. He thanked them for their strength and resilience and for their work in their respective fields to uplift and uphold our society.

Dr Skerrit expressed that it was a pleasure to celebrate International Women’s Day with our women who continue to excel in their various fields of endeavour. He informed the people of Dominica that the government honoured women who care for the society’s most vulnerable population- our elderly, children, youth-at-risk and the differently abled.

Dr Roosevelt Skerrit asserted that the government treasures their service to our people and country and wishes you God’s continued blessings. Accordingly, Prime Minister Skerrit congratulated the women who have contributed to the care of the most vulnerable persons in society. Several members of the Cabinet of the Commonwealth of Dominica were present at the ceremony held in honour of the women of the Commonwealth of Dominica. Dr Roosevelt Skerrit shared several images of the honouring ceremony. He posed with many recipients of the award ceremony. Several social media users also took the initiative to applaud and congratulate the women who received the certificates of honour and acknowledgement.
