Reno Omokri questions Obi’s decision of skipping Presidential debates

Reno Omokri has questioned Peter Obi’s decision to skip any presidential debates if all the candidates do not attend the event.

Political Author and social media influencer Reno Omokri had earlier commented on the public spat between the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party of Nigeria, Peter Obi and Dino Malaye, on the presidential debate hosted on Arise TV. He has added to his line of thoughts in another series of tweets.

Reno Omokri has questioned Peter Obi’s decision to skip any presidential debates if all the candidates do not attend the event.

In a tweet, Reno Omokri claimed:

When Peter Obi says he would no longer attend any debate that Waziri Atiku and Tinubu do not attend. He is inevitably saying that he is in this race only because he wants to rub shoulders with Atiku and Tinubu. He claimed that it is not because of Nigerians. That is very reactionary!

In another tweet, Omokri questioned the Labour Party Presidential candidate: Are you going to these debates for the benefit of Waziri Atiku and Tinubu, or are you going for the use of Nigerians?

He has claimed that Obi’s announcement of missing the “mixed Presidential debates” following the absence of Tinubu and Atiku in the Arise TV Debate has just shown that he is a follower of Atiku and Tinubu. Where they go, he goes. Where they don’t go, (he) doesn’t go!

According to the report of Vanguard, after the presidential debate on Arise TV, where the Presidential candidate for APC and PDP, Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, missed the discussion and sent their Vice-Presidential candidates in their place.

Following the debate, which ended in a public disagreement between Peter Obi and Dino Malaye, the labour Party of Nigeria has announced their presidential candidate will not be attending any more mixed debates.

This announcement has received a negative reaction from the Nigerian Author and social media influencer, who is an ardent supporter of Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of People’s Democratic Party.
