PM Drew attends Easter egg hunt at Conaree Community Centre

PM Dr Terrance Drew attended the Easter egg hunt and party with the children of the twin-island Federation. The event was held at Conaree Community Centre on Sunday.

During the event, PM Drew spent some quality time with the children, who were accompanied by their parents. They indulged in various games and activities such as musical chairs.

The Prime of St Kitts and Nevis took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share the glimpses of the Easter Celebration with the people of the country. 

“We had an enjoyable afternoon with the children at Conaree Community Center for the Easter egg hunt and party. The children had a wonderful time and even the parents joined in the fun and participated in a game of musical chairs”, remarked PM Drew.

He further extended a vote of thanks to Natasana Morson and the entire Conaree Social Club for organizing the event and their untiring efforts for making the event memorable one for the children. 

The Easter celebrations were held with great zeal and enthusiasm. Such celebrations are expected to bring positive results and make the event memorable for everyone in the Federation.

The people around the country exchanged their wishes on Easter through their comments on Facebook. Some of the comments read as,

Additionally, he celebrated the ‘Good Friday’ with his labour people and Constituency #2 in the event at the Easter Egg Hunt. The event was organized by the Tourism Minister, Marsha Henderson. 

Her unwavering commitment concluded the celebration on a successful note. 

The leader of St Kitts and Nevis has always been active in taking part in various festivities and events in the country, which reflect his kind nature. 

Moreover, the government of the twin-island Federation announced a reduction of VAT on goods sales by five per cent for all VAT-registered businesses on an ‘Easter’ Discounted VAT Rate Day on April 12, 2024. 

This significant step will provide financial relief to the people as the government is extending a helping hand to both consumers and businesses. 

It is to be noted that all the tangible products, attracting 17 per cent VAT will also be eligible for the concessional rate of five per cent.
