Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire announces business training workshop

The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, took to his social media account to invite the country's people to participate in the Business Planning Training.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, took to his social media account to invite the country’s people to participate in the Business Planning Training. The event was Castries and Vieux Fort. It will start on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, and conclude on Friday, May 19. The event will serve as an opportunity for the business-minded people of the country to get training in several aspects of business management and planning. 

The Youth economy agency of Saint Lucia is hosting the event to benefit businesses that need assistance in figuring out the initial setup of their business. Additionally, the update shared on social media details that the participants who register for the training workshop will get the chance to qualify for the additional grant of EC$2000.

During the two-week training initiative, the participants will get access to professional support to develop a comprehensive Business Plan tailored to their specific needs. Meanwhile, According to Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire, The event will focus on providing critical training in the various fields of business management and planning. These include: 

  • business operations
  • timeline
  • strategy
  • finance 
  • competitor
  • marketing 
  • management of business goals
  • teamwork

Notably, The Youth economy agency of Saint Lucia will also provide an initial grant of EC$2000 to every person who completes the training programme. The participants will need to commit. Three Hours and thirty minutes daily to this training programme. However, they will be able to choose from the two training session timings: 

Morning Sessions: 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Afternoon Sessions: 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The government of Saint Lucia is committed to supporting and encouraging the business-minded people of the country. The initiative for business planning and training falls in the right direction under this mandate. The government is making several efforts for the all-round development of the people so they can prosper in every sector of the economy. 

Deputy Prime Minister is Hilaire urged the people to register for the programme quickly as the availablity of the seats is limited.
