She informed the officers that the driver of a white Toyota Corolla from Mahatma Gandhi Road in Durban Central, KZN, had picked her up. While driving the car, they tried to attempt oral sex.

She continued telling the authorities that she suspected that the driver turned his car towards the north and entered a sugar cane field.

After entering the field, the driver stopped the car and told her to come out and perform oral sex on him. She refused and insisted he to complete the payment before performing any further sexual act.

The suspected man then showed her a knife and threatened to kill her if she refused to follow his instructions. After which, she agreed and followed his instructions.

The victim tried to stop the suspect by grabbing his vehicle from the back as he drove off without making the payment. He continued to drive at high speed and dragged her several metres on a gravel road. Later on, the female lost her grip and fell off.

As per the sources, the sex worker then walked to a nearby farm and tried to look for someone to help her. The assistance came in the form of a farm employee who informed the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) about the lady and requested assistance.

Notably, such crimes are increasing frequently in KwaZulu-Natal. The citizens are worried as they don’t find themselves safe in the region. Many such incidents also happened earlier, contributing to the growing crime rate.
