Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew expressed his delight for the completion of remedial work at Mary Charles Hospital in Molineux. He visited the facility on Wednesday and ensured the efficient delivery of healthcare services to the citizens.
This remedial work had been a longstanding issue which affected the patients during their visit. PM Drew highted that such development to the hospital would contribute towards the growth of the medical sector.
“Today I conducted a walkthrough at Mary Charles Hospital in Molineux, where we’ve just completed some essential remedial work to address longstanding issues. It’s truly heartening to see improvements first hand”, added PM Drew on his Facebook post.
While conducting a walkthrough at the hospital, he explored the newly reopened Pharmacy led by the well-experienced Pharmacist Bryann Tillette from Belize. The Pharmacy was officially opened on Monday, and people are asked to visit it on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 4 pm.
PM Drew welcomed Pharmacist Tillette into the country and extended a vote of thanks for her partnership with Mary Charles Hospital.
The Pharmacy was closed in the previous year, 2023. The reformation of the Pharmacy marked a significant step in providing and improving healthcare services for the community.
In addition to this, the government of St Kitts and Nevis has made several improvements to the facility, including addressing water, leakage, and toilet issues.
“We have recently done a number of things to improve healthcare delivery to the people of this area and the environs. We have resolved a longstanding water issue, a longstanding issue with the toilets in the hospital, we have also addressed the leaking issues here and we have also done some work on the ground”, remarked PM Drew.
The prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis, who is also serving as the Minister for Health ensures to provide quality medical services to all the people in the Federation. Such developments would enhance the ability to provide top-tier care and services to the community.
