In 1806 the Tiv tribe defeated Fulani Jihadists at the battle of Abinste. Further, Bello, son of Othman Dan-Fodio led the army of Fulani invaders. Meanwhile, The battle of Abinste lasted 3 days. Accordingly, The world and the locals know the Tivs for their poisoned arrows and bravery in battle.

One of the most important aspects of Tiv culture is their artistic expression. The Tiv are famous for their intricate wood carvings that they use in various ceremonies and festivals. Tiv music is also a significant aspect of their cultural heritage. The defining character of the Tiv Music is the use of various musical instruments, including the arched harp and the udu drum.

Another important aspect of Tiv culture is their religious beliefs. The Tiv also believe in a supreme power, Aondo. The local legends believe the supreme being is responsible for creating the world and all living things. They also believe in various deities and spirits, which are associated with various aspects of the natural world. Many Tiv are successful farmers and traders, and their businesses have played a major role in the country’s economic development.
