The Asari-Toru local government council is leading the ongoing 40 thousand-liter water project in Ido town, Buguma. The project has achieved exceptional progress in the previous month. The local government council is working under the direction of Onrngiyeofori George, Distinguished Service Star of River State.
The scarcity of water has been a major problem in the Ido region. This kind of project has been needed for so long.
The initiation of the project took place in September, since its beginning, the workers have gone through many challenges, but the progress is really remarkable in every aspect. The excavation work went really quickly after which the foundation work did not take much time.
Moreover, the connection of pipes from the tank area to designated points in the IDO community has also been successfully completed. The officials are regularly inspecting the site. Apart from this, the workers are very skilled and are following all the necessary safety measures.
The necessary parts to be installed are already brought to the site, and the quality and the material are also really good. The project update also highlights the fabrication and installation preparation, which involves excavating the pipeline right of way along the road and extending it to parts of the community.
In addition to this, activities like bar bending, formwork, reinforcement, and alignment of anchor bolts on the tank foundation, as well as the erection and TIE-IN of anchor bolts, construction of foundation base walls, and preparation for plinth base construction, have been carried out.
The executive Chairmen have been notified that the pace of the project is perfect and have ensured the timely completion of this project and made the commitment to provide all the necessary support throughout the project.
The people of Ido town applauded the Asari-toru Local Government Council for spearheading the initiative. The people are confident that after the project’s conclusion, Ido town will soon enjoy portable drinking water.
