The authorities in Bangladesh have shared their disappointment over the illegal occupation of the Eastern part of Turkistan. The government of Bangladesh has urged its Chinese counterparts to retreat from the area. East Turkistan is called Xinjiang in China. Meanwhile, They have also appealed to the Chinese administration to stop the aristocracies of the Uyghur Muslim population in the area.
Baren Revolution in East Turkistan completed 33 years on April 5, 2023. Several areas of Bangladesh observed protests and meetings to commemorate the anniversary of the historical occasion. The Bangladesh Khilafat Andolan arranged a meeting in Dhaka on April 5. During the meeting, the head of the BKA condemned the actions of the government of China for their actions against the minority Uyghur Muslim population in the Xinjiang region.
Meanwhile, china knowingly settled the population of Hans Chinese to decrease the number of Uyghur Muslims in the country. Bangladesh staged a protest in this regard while warning the government of China to refrain from such actions. At the same time, they extended their support to the population in East Turkistan.
The Bangladesh Khilafat Andolan also urged the international community to support the Uyghur Muslim population in East Turkistan. China has an illegal occupation of the region. Meanwhile, the various authorities in Bangladesh came together for a Dowa Mehfil at the Bangladesh Photojournalist Auditorium. The meeting happened in the commemoration of Barren Day.
Other institutions that managed and arranged the protests in support of the population include the Mohajir Welfare and Development Committee. Almost 200 protestors came together at the University circuits of Dhaka. They organized human chains and protests in support of the people of Uyghur Muslims. During the protest, they distributed leaflets highlighting atrocities committed against the Muslim communities by the government of China.
