Anja Ringgren Loven gets honored by Red Cross for her work

Nigerian Red Cross Society recognized Anja Ringgren Loven, The founder of the Nigeria-based Non-Government Organization Land of Hope, for her humanitarian work took to the official social media of her NGO to make the announcement.

Nigerian Red Cross Society recognized Anja Ringgren Loven, The founder of the Nigeria-based Non-Government Organization Land of Hope, for her humanitarian work took to the official social media of her NGO to make the announcement. She confessed that she was very honoured by her accomplishment. The Nigerian Red Cross society conferred her as Associate Member and Red Cross International Nigeria Matron.

The Land of Hope and Red Cross event honoured Dr Ekerete Usak, Olanrewaju Wale Matthew, and Anja. Accordingly, the establishment’s founder shared that she could share the moment with all the children. Further, she shared that 12 children of the NGO, including Hope, are part of the Red Cross Society. The children are learning the rudiment of giving first aid and saving lives. Anja Loven confessed that she was proud to see them walk the parade they had practised all week. The children also performed the history of the Red Cross.

Land of Hope children centre is now a detachment of the Red Cross Nigeria. Accordingly, the authorities will host all the training and meetings at the premises. In line with this, Anja Ringgren Loven thanked Dr Christopher Otu Inyang, Divisional Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, and Samuel Ikon, Branch Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, for honouring her for her humanitarian efforts in Nigeria.

Additionally, she thanked Wilson A. Wilson, a Nigerian Red Cross Society member, for her great work with the children. She also added that they look forward to more training. Thank you to the entire planning committee of The Nigerian Red Cross Society, Eket Division, Akwa Ibom Branch, for making the event successful. Kudos to your hard work.

Following this, Anja sincerely thanked the visitors who came to celebrate her and her fellow awardees.

She acknowledged that she could not mention all the names. However, she took the opportunity to share her appreciation for their great support. It means a lot to me. Finally, she thanked her husband, David Emmanuel Umem, for always being by my side and protecting me. To our son for making my life complete. And to all the children and the staff at Land of Hope. She claimed that this award belonged to them.
