AIG Olowale Olokode shares condolences for death of Borno state officers

AIG Olowale Taoheed Olokode, expressed condolences to Borno commands and the families of the deceased police officers involved in a fatal accident. 

The Assistant Inspector General of police who is in charge of Zone 12, Bauchi, AIG Olowale Taoheed Olokode, expressed condolences to Borno commands and the families of the deceased police officers involved in a fatal accident. 

The incident took place when two police officers were travelling to Akwa Ibom State. Other members of the command accompanied them. They were travelling to participate in the 13TH BIENNIAL POLICE GAMES.

The AIG who spoke on behalf of Zone 12, Bauchi, said he is shocked by this devastating news. Further, the AIG stated that no words could ease the pain or describe how Police as an Organization felt sorry for the loss. 

Further, AIG Olowale Taoheed Olokode stated, “They (The police officers) have gone from our sights, but never from our hearts. 

He wished for their souls to rest in peace.

Muazu Abubakar, the spokesperson of the Borno State Police Command, confirmed the tragic news. He also added that 15 other persons sustained varying injuries due to the accident.

On this count, AIG Olowale Taoheed Olokode expressed his sympathies and consolation for the officers who sustained various injuries in the incident. Further, the AIG of the Bauchi Police Command came forward to wish them a quick recovery. 

Following the incident, The AIG has vowed to prioritize various modalities available to collaborate with other Road traffic agencies to minimize road accidents in the Zone.

The spokesperson of the Borno state Police Command shared the news of the fatal incident on his Twitter account. 

His tweet read:

Our officers from Borno Police Command were involved in a fatal motor vehicle (Car) accident along the Jos axis. (They were) on their way to A/Ibom for (to participate in) the upcoming 13 Biennial Police Games UYO 2022. (The accident) leaving 15 (officers) with various degrees of injury while Pc Godiya and Pc Kubra paid a supreme price.”
