Roseau, Dominica: Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit- The Prime Minister of Dominica hosted the participants of the Annual Roseau Summer Camp on Monday with insightful discussions on education and other activities.
The session was held where the children actively communicated with the Prime Minister and asked the questions regarding his work. Under the session, everyone shared their own experiences.
Every year, the summer is organized in the country in the month of July, this year as well it is scheduled with the purpose of acknowledging the children between the age 5 to12 to enjoy new activities every day at the Roseau Central.
Every year, the Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development organizes the summer camp. And, this year as well, it is being organized by the Minister Melissa Skerrit. The event commenced on July 10 and will last till July 24, 2024.
Considerably, the children between the age 5 to 12 are availed with the opportunity to enjoy several exciting activities. These include various activities such as soap making, arts and crafts, cooking, excursion, candle making, tik-tok video creation, song writing, Drama and Dance, Photography and so much more.
The summer camp 2024 is held in the country with the vision to promote social skills and teamwork among young children. Not just this is the purpose. Along with it, she as well has an objective to develop confidence among the children to help them grow by providing the positive and interactive environment.
Notably, as part of the camp, all the participants of the camp made a visit to the Office of the Prime Minister of Dominica. And, during the visit, the children shared their camp experiences and the activities that they enjoyed to an extent.
