Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire applauds a little Folk tale event, shares glimpses

The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, took to his social media profile to share his experience witnessing the events being hosted as a part of the Saint Lucia Jazz and the Art Festival.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, took to his social media profile to share his experience witnessing the events being hosted as a part of the Saint Lucia Jazz and the Art Festival. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, tourism, and the creative economy in the Country shared his experience of enjoying the events. He also shared several images and videos of the events on his social media account.

The first event mentioned on Dr Hilaire’s social media was “A Little Folk Tale”. The show took place on Monday, May 8, 2023. Talking about the event, The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Creative Economy applauded the event’s stakeholders. He thanked them for putting on a praiseworthy show.

He wrote that he witnessed one of the best creative pieces on Monday, May 8. The young people of Saint Lucia arranged the entire event. The Deputy Prime Minister asserted that the enthusiasm and sheer skill of the youngsters is unmatchable. He further confessed that he was getting chills throughout the performance. The Minister observed that they were in tune with their characters and made the scenes realistic.

Further, Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire applauded the production of the play. He stated that the show was also a ‘top drawer’. Kudos to the entire casting team and production staff.

Dr Hialire confessed that he looks forward to seeing other performances from the young people for the rest of the Jazz and Arts Festival. Additionally, as well as throughout the year. Further, he urged the Country’s people to embrace our people’s talent and provide them with resources and a stage to showcase their talents to the world.

The government of Saint Lucia is hosting the 25th edition of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Art Festival. The event started with an opening ceremony on May 5 and will continue throughout the following week till Sunday, May 14. Several fringe events will also take place during the course of the event.
