The authorities are hosting the event at a significant time. This is because Central Asia is currently in two conflict zones. On the West side, the conflict comes from the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Meanwhile, the relationship between China and Ukraine has become tense in the East. All these instances have left the region of Central Asia extremely vulnerable.

The countries are experiencing a severe lack of economic interactions and security due to the conflicts between Russia-Ukraine and China-US. Accordingly, the Central Asian States wanted to trade with the countries south of Asia. The mandate of the Central Asian states also includes travel within the South Asian states for economic conditions.

The government of India enjoys deep, strategic, security, and economic interests in promoting travel for business purposes. They seek to revive their age-old cultural heritage in their strategic neighbourhood. In line with this, the country has started a policy to develop diplomacy with the countries of Central Asia.

The government’s initiative puts a lot of emphasis on secure, reliable and mutually beneficial connectivity. The authorities believed that discussing this matter with the experts was extremely critical. Getting different opinions from the experts and debating the pros and cons of several proposed policies is important for policy-makers engaged in the discussions.

The India Central Asia Foundation has planned to host an international seminar to fulfil these views. According to the experts, the seminar will play an important part in the resolution of all the issues borne out of the conflicts of the two most powerful nations in Asia.
