The Prime Minister of The Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, welcomed a Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) delegation. Executive Director, Dr Laura Elena Carrillo Cubillas, led the delegation. The Prime Minister met the members of the AMEXCID on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
Executive Director Laura Elena Carrillo Cubillas, accompanied the Ambassador Designate of the United Mexican States to Dominica and Special Envoy of Mexico, Luis Manuel Lopez Moreno, and Actuary Gloria Sandoval Salas, General Director of the Mesoamerican Integration and Development project of AMEXCID.
The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, members and officials of the AMEXCID, along with other government officials, engaged in a fruitful discussion with each other. He also shared some images from the meeting on his social media account,
He expressed his excitement for collaborating with the team from mexico to deal with several critical issues. According to the update shared by Dr Skerrit, he met with the team to get update on the progress of the Mexico-CARICOM-FAO Initiative, “Cooperation for adaptation and resilience to climate change in the Caribbean,”
Dr Skerrit also noted that he and his team are looking forward to the Fifth Mexico-CARICOM Summit scheduled for May 2023. The Prime Minister is dedicated to furthering the foreign relations of Dominica with the rest of the world. He makes it a point to represent the country well regarding the issues of the nation, the region or on the international front.
