Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire attends opening of Independence Business Expo

The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, attended the Independence Business Expo opening ceremony. The Business Expo is a part of the country’s 44th independence day celebration. During the opening ceremony of the Business Expo, the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia talked about the significance of the event for the people of Saint Lucia.

Notably, the business expo is being held under the directives of Export Saint Lucia. The event showcases several small and medium-level businesses in the country for two days. Export Saint Lucia (ESL) hosted the expo on February 16 and 17.

Deputy Prime Minister Hilaire confirmed to the media that the event forms an integral part of the event lineup for celebrating 44 years of Independence for Saint Lucia. Here, he also took the opportunity to inform the people about the significant advancements that Saint Lucia has achieved since gaining independence. Ernest also asserted the importance of staying close and united for the betterment of the country.

The Minister of Investment, Tourism and Creative Economy applauded the initiative of the organizers of the business expo for bringing together talents from across Saint Lucia for the critical event. Deputy Prime Minister Hilaire shared glimpses of the event through his social media. He shared several images from the Business Expo, noting that he attended the event alongside several important government officials.

The Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire confirmed in his media interaction that he is accompanying Saint Lucia’s Minister for Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs, Emma Hippolyte to the event. The other prominent members of the Cabinet and government officials of Saint Lucia also attended the event.

The Deputy Prime Minister believes that the expo will serve as the perfect opportunity to showcase the small and medium businesses of Saint Lucia. The Independene Business Expo served as an opportunity to showcase their businesses, arts and crafts in front of a wider audience.
