The magazine reasons that the government of India has made several efforts to take the message of Buddha across several nations worldwide and propagate Buddhism with a global perspective. Several Buddhist scholars even went on to compare Narendra Modi’s contribution to that of Emperor Dharmshoka.

Meanwhile, the Sathipattana Buddhist Magazine has termed India’s Minister Narendra Modi an Internationally renowned statesman. He is committed to the cause of protecting and preserving the cultural and religious infrastructures, including the Shrines, temples, archaeological sites and such.

Additionally, the publication claims that the Narendra Modi Government has taken several steps to promote, propagate and safeguard the religion and culture associated with Buddhism.

In line with this, PM Modi inaugurated an innovative five-year Pali and Sanskrit International Bhikkhu Exchange Program. In December, the government launched the programme in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, exactly a month ago. The programme is one of the initiatives the government has taken to promote the teachings of Buddha in the world.

The Dalai lama, a world-renowned spiritual leader, delivered his address at the event for five days straight. Several members of the Buddhist community attended the talk of the Dalai Lama. Meanwhile, the Sathipattana Buddhist Magazine reports that the government of India, the ministry of culture, celebrated the Buddha Jayanthi at Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi. The government hosted the event in collaboration with the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC).

During the inaugural ceremony of the five-year Pali and Sanskrit International Bhikkhu Exchange Program, PM Narendra Modi spoke about the importance of Buddhist Diplomacy for India’s continued relationship with other Buddhist nations in Asia. At the same time, it is worth a mention that in addition to Prime Minister Modi, Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama also played a critical role in promoting the teachings of Buddha to the world.
