The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has extended his greetings to his Indian Counterpart, Droupadi Murmu, on the occasion of India’s 74th Republic Day. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) released a statement in this regard. The statement conveyed the wishes of the UAE president, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Indian President.
Other leaders of the UAE also sent out similar messages of congratulations to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 74th Republic Day. These leaders included the Vice President of UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of UAE and the ruler of Dubai.
The Ambassador of India to Abu Dhabi, Sanjay Sudhir, unfurled the Indian Tri-color as the Embassy celebrated the 74th anniversary of Republic Day. During the ceremonial celebrations, Sudhir honoured the Indian Diaspora in Abu Dhabi for their contribution to the country’s development.
Notably, the Embassy of Abu Dhabi took to its social media account to commemorate the occasion. The Embassy also shared glimpses of the event when they shared photos of the unfurling ceremony.
Further, the Indian Embassy of Saudi Arabia celebrated the event with excitement and enthusiasm. The official Twitter handle of Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia shared this information through a tweet. According to the twitter update, The Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia unfurled the Indian Tricolor (Tiranga) at the celebration event. Further he read the official address delivered by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu at the celebration.
It is worth noting that January 26, 2023 marks President Murmu’s first Republic Day celebration since she assumed office for five years (2022-27). She unfurled the national flag at Kartavya Path on Thursday as a part of the republic Day Celebration.
