The 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, the spiritual leader of Tibet, has returned from his one-month-long trip to the Bodh Gaya. Following his return from the trip, the Dalai lama interacted with the media at the Kangra Airport in Himachal Pradesh. The visit to Bodh Gaya is extremely important to the international community members in light of Tibet’s issues with the Republic of China.
Dalai Lama saw the Dalai Lama Centre for Tibetan and Indian Ancient Wisdom. He blessed the designs for the centre. Once ready, the centre will focus on the Indian traditions rooted in Tibet in the 7th Century and were later practised and propagated by the Dalai Lamas.”
During his interaction with the media at the Kangra Airport, Dalai Lama called India a good, stable and democratic nation. Several followers and students of the Dalai Lama welcomed him to Kangra Airport warmly. According to the students and followers of the 14th Dalai Lama, they gather together to welcome him whenever he returns from the trip.
The spiritual leader of tibet is a widely respected figure, which is apparent from his presence that his followers feel blessed and delighted. Kira, a foreign student of Buddhism, spoke to the media while waiting at Kangra Airport to receive the spiritual leader. She said that they were very excited to see him. She told the media that they are 12 students studying Buddhism. Meanwhile, the leader interacted with the media at his “exile home” in Dharamshala. He informed the press that during his visit to Bodh Gaya, he met several people who carry India’s 1000 year old message of Ahimsa. He believes that it is his responsibility to spread the buddhist message of Ahimsa.
Meanwhile, Dalai Lama’s trip to Bodh gaya is extremely significant as the world needs to ensure they never forget the tibet issue. The Republic of China is intervening in the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama. They are sending Tibetan Boys to colonial styled schools and closing down tibet’s monestaries and schools.
Additionally, china is also exploiting the natural resources of Tibet, causing the threat of Climate change to loom over Tibet. In this regard, international institutions are unable to put a check on china or stop them.
