St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew to interact with media, talk about 2023 policies

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, will conduct a Press Conference on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. The Prime Minister's Cabinet members will also attend the Press Conference with the Prime Minister.

Notably, The Press Conference on January 18 is Dr Terrance Drew’s first media interaction for the year 2023. This is also the second Press Conference of the SKNLP-led administration for their tenure. Prime Minister Terrance Drew will talk to the media during the press conference about the upcoming year. He will also discuss the programmes the administration promised during the 2022-23 budget.

The Prime Minister will take the opportunity to discuss several areas of national importance. These will include the promises and pledges that the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party-led administration in the Budget of 2023.

Some of the programmes that the SKNLP made during the budget address were towards business development in the country. As per Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, his government is committed to developing small businesses and benefiting the country’s youth.

Per the budget address, the government intends to establish a framework to introduce a low-cost student loan facility. These facilities will help the young population of St Kitts and Nevis pursue undergraduate and graduate studies.

During the press conference, Dr Terrenace Drew will shed light on several other important developmental issues for the country. The Prime Minister and his cabinet of ministers, including Deputy PM Dr Geoffrey Hanley, Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Denzil Douglas, Minister of Public Utilities Konris Maynard, Minister of Sports and Creative Economy Samal Duggins, Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation Marsha Henderson and Junior Ministers Isalean Phillip and Dr Joyelle Clarke will interact with the media on Wednesday, January 18.

The media interaction will happen at the Conference Room of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Lime Kiln, Basseterre.
