In his social media update, he stated that he is vehemently against that video of a pastor castigating Tinubu on a church altar.

According to Omokri, the video shows the Pastor saying (about Tinubu) a man who can’t hold Nigeria’s flag can’t keep Nigeria. He believes that what the Pastor is saying is correct. However, Omokri maintains that the place where he is saying it is wrong.

To draw a comparison, he stated, Would we like it if an Imam condemns Obi in a mosque?

The Nigerian author and Social Media influencer maintain that Pastors can take political positions. However, they should not take political positions at a church altar during a service.

According to Reno Omokri, Taking a political position in a church or a mosque is equivalent to weaponizing religion. Omokri has condemned the actions.

He stated if we open that Pandora’s Box, what it may cause may be worse than the Rwandan Genocide!
