Nigeria: Police arrests two cameroonians with human bones, skulls

The police force of Nigeria has arrested two Cameroonian individuals with human skulls and several bones in their possession.

The police force of Nigeria has arrested two Cameroonian individuals with human skulls and several bones. The arrest was made in Adamawa state.

The Police officers paraded the suspects at Adamawa state headquarters. The command spokesperson informed the media that they have also arrested a suspected potential buyer, Dauda Yakubu, a motorcycle operator, and a woman, in connection with the crime.

The police spokesperson also shared the names of the culprits with the media. Nodji Kodji and Raji Silver belong to Cholli, a community in the Cameroon Republic. He was a resident of Garware village, in Fufore Local Government Area.

According to the sources, the NIgeria Police force arrested the suspects on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

According to the police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the two suspects have confessed that they procured the skulls and bones from a graveyard in Cameroon. They added that they wanted to sell them to Dauda in exchange for 5 million CFA Franc.

Police authorities have stated that, the initial buyer of the suspects’ lost interest. They were looking for another buyer when the police officers arrested them.

According to Nguroje, police operatives arrested the two suspects while out on routine patrol in the area.

The team led by CSP Usman Jauroyel apprehended the suspects. The police spokesperson added that this arrest was another remarkable achievement of the police command in their efforts to fight the crimes.

Both the suspects confessed to stealing the bones and the skulls from a graveyard. They had brought the bones and skulls to Nigeria to sell them.

Commissioner of Police, A.K Akande, ordered that the suspects must be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department. Further investigation will take place from that department.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the authorities must provide adequate security at the graveyards to prevent such acts in future.
