The suspect travelled from Kwara to Benin in Edo State around July 2022 and met Emmanuel Oyiobo, a taxi driver who was driving him for the days he stayed in Benin.
After that, the suspect and the deceased became good friends, exchanged phone numbers, and have been in touch since then.
The suspect told his friend, the victim, that he wanted to sell his car and decided that the suspect should bring the vehicle to Benin, where it was sold for one million four hundred thousand nairas only (N1.4 million).
During his stay in Benin after selling his vehicle, the suspect injected something in his friend (deceased) with a substance which was suspected of having killed him on September 3, 2022.
He then dumped his dead body in a nearby bush and escaped with his white Toyota Camry muscle.
Opalola said that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as the investigation was concluded.
