Beauty Living, aged 25, a Nigerian woman residing in the southern Calabrian city of Catanzaro in Italy, has blamed her employer for hitting and assaulting her as she asked for her salary on Tuesday, August 2.
The woman reported the assault at a police station in Soverato and supported her report with a video of the incident, which she filmed. As per the sources, Beauty, who worked for a beach club and restaurant in Soverato, near Catanzaro, stated that she went live on social media and broadcasted the video.
It was further revealed that Beauty was companied by Filomena Pedullà, her lawyer, to report the case at the police station.
The alleged aggressor is reportedly the son of a retired Carabinieri police officer and does not contain any police record.
However, it was discussed that Carabinieri police are investigating the incident and the potential charges of personal injuries, theft and threats after the victim reported aggression.
Her lawyer stated that police officers are looking into payment slips, and they are examining the data regarding the contract and the verbal agreement between both sides.
Pedullà described that the young woman got a bank transfer of €200, but an agreement was made for the payment of 600 euros.
The lawyer said the alleged aggression took place after the woman protested as she wasn’t paid the agreed amount.
Due to the employer’s aggression towards Beauty, she suffered a hand injury, contusions on her shoulder along with an injury on her scalp.
Investigations are being carried out by police officers to examine the gravity of the incident to charge the alleged aggressor with appropriate charges and punishment as applicable under the law in Italy.
