Professor Mohammed Haruna, the Chief Executive of NASENI, revealed this on Wednesday, July 27, in a delegation of the visit of stakeholders from Nasarawa at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

The visit was to make sure a successful inauguration of the AMEDI – Agricultural Machinery Development Institute, Lafia, NASENI Skill Development Centre and North Central Zonal Engineering and Science Integrated Laboratory, Keffi.

The Chief Executive of NASENI illustrated that the inauguration of the university in Lafia and the laboratory in Keffi would make employment options for both formal as well as informal sectors in the state.

Haruna stated that the launch would assure the training, skills acquisition and youth empowerment in various skills like science and engineering.

Therefore, he requested the cooperation and support of Nasarawa stakeholders towards the successful launch of the institute and the laboratory, which would be carried out by the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.

Earlier, Aminu Maifata, the leader of the delegation, and Executive Chairman, Lafia Local Government, praised the NASENI leader for the transformative and innovative strides in the agency.

Maifata also commended the NASENI boss for being an outstanding leader and exemplary son of the Nasarawa state.

He ensured full support and assistance of the delegation in assuring that the event was successful.

He stated that Nasarawa State would persist in being a state of reputation in the growth and development of the nation.

In a probe to diversify the economy of Nigeria in line with the country’s president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration agenda, NASENI got presidential approval for the establishment of the North Central Zonal Institute in Nasarawa State.
