The girl thought she would be attending school here, but unfortunately, she was brought down to become the 3rd wife of this man. This man is a poor unsatisfied farmer who already has two wives and over 22 children.

Furthermore, it is reported that he beats her every night and forces himself on her but has only succeeded once in sleeping with her.

It had been two months since they married when a stranger reported the incident, after which NAPTIP Nigeria rescued her.

The farmer lives in Adaka, Makurdi, in Benue State, Nigeria. The community and other villagers seem to be protecting the man, but the girl wanted to be rescued.

The stranger, identified as Lucky Udu, said that he himself tried to rescue the girl in the absence of the farmer, but no one else helped him, so he just took a few pictures to make a strong case. He then sent the proofs to NAPTIP Nigeria to help the minor girl.

NAPTIP Nigeria’s Makurdi Zonal Command, led by Bai Gloria Iveren, pulled off a surprise move very early this morning and rescued the girl back to base. It has been reported that the farmer has been on the run since the story broke out in cyberspace.
