A young male of the Polytechnic of Ibadan has died after indulging in a drug-induced marathon sex with his girlfriend.

A young male of the Polytechnic of Ibadan has died after indulging in a drug-induced marathon sex with his girlfriend.

It was found that the student, identified as Oromidayo, had gone back to his home with his girlfriend, identified as Aramide after their exams got cancelled due to a protest by some students of the university.

The university authorities had suspended the 2021-2022 second semester examinations indefinitely on Monday, 16 May, due to the protests.

Both the students reportedly took sex-enhancing medicine suspected to be Tramadol and, after that, engaged in 11 rounds of sex. The male student, Oromidayo, who was a Civil engineering undergraduate, was found dead in his room, while the female, Aramide from the Business Administration Department, was lying unconscious.

Eyewitnesses said that Aramide was immediately taken to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, where medic professionals fighting to save her life said that she had a slight chance of survival. She is presently in a state of coma.

Her parents have not been told about the incident yet because her phone has not been found.

On the other hand, Kemi Olunloyo, a well-known journalist had, rejected information that Oromidayo lost his life after marathon sex. However, she disclosed that both students were involved in drug-fueled sex.

Meanwhile, the exams were postponed, and the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Soladoye Adewole, revealed that the protesting students were those who had refused to pay their tuition fees and therefore were not able to complete their registration process.

According to him, the students knew that the school administration would enforce a ‘No Pay, No Examinations’, so they used their own strategy to discontinue the examinations that were scheduled for Monday, 16 May.

However, the students insisted the university’s administration to complete the examinations for the part-time students before the start of the examinations for the full-time students.
