The 16th edition of the Miss Cameroon Beauty pageant was held on Saturday, November 12, 2022. The judges have crowned Princess Issie the winner of the Miss Cameroon 2023.
Issie competed in the pageant representing the Littoral region in the national pageant. She defeated 18 other contestants to win the top spot in the competition.
After winning the pageant, Princess Issie has become the newest Miss Cameroon, succeeding the 2022 winner Julia Samantha Edima.
The newest title holder is a resident of the Littoral Region in Cameroon. According to her Facebook account, Princess Issie is a professional model and student in marketing management.
Hours before her final competition, The newest beauty queen of the country in west-central Africa took to her Facebook account to share her feelings about being one of the finalists of the most prestigious beauty pageant.
She wrote the update in French. However, a translated version of the post read: As a little girl, I only had one dream: to be Miss Cameroon. Her family raised and educated her in a large thriving family where rigour and respect were crucial and critical.
In the Facebook update, She addressed her fans and supporters, stating that you adopted me during this beautiful journey. You believed in my dream and I felt your support every second.
Further, Princess Issie revealed that the train enters the station today (November 12, 2022). (Here, she referred to the Miss Cameroon Finale).
She also wrote: Let’s write the beautiful story of Cameroon together. Cameroon is a country that is dear to us all. May the beauty of the young Cameroonian hardworking, social and respectful, be valued. May the party be excellent good luck to all of us
Issie’s Ist runner up is Miss South West, Mouketey Monalisa.. The second runner up is Ngueleu Raïssa. She is also the Miss Ouest 2023 Ngeuleu raissa
After winning the pageant, Princess Issie aimes to promote Cameroonian tourism and raise awareness about breast cancer.
According to a Cameroon news website, The event took place at the Multipurpose Sports Palace in Yaoundé in the presence of First Lady Chantal Biya.
