Davido and Chioma’s three year old dies by drowning in pool

The Nigerian-American Musician David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido and his partner, Chioma, lost their son in an accident on Monday, October 31, 2022. The three-year-old boy, Ifeanyi, drowned in a swimming pool at his father’s house.

Reports state that many people were at Davido’s residence in Banana Island at the time of the child’s death. The aggrieved couple is yet to share an official confirmation of the news. However, several celebrities in Nigeria took to their social media handles to share their condolences.

Reportedly, Ifeanyi was underwater for a long time before being spotted. After that, the family rushed him to a hospital in the Lekki area of Lagos state. However, Ifeanyi was confirmed dead on arrival.

The incident occurred only a few days after the three-year-old’s birthday.

The first individual to oust the news was a close friend of Davido and famous Nigerian actress Eniola Badmus, in a tweet which has now been deleted.

Currently, the police officials of the Lagos area police command are investigating the incident. They are questioning the house staff of Davido to ascertain the circumstances of Ifeanyi’s death.

Hours after the news broke, comedians Ayo Makun and Lasisi Elenu, radio personality Daddy Freeze and several other celebrities shared condolences with the aggrieved parents.

The Nigerian American Singer-songwriter and his fiance and mother of the deceased three-year-old are trending all over social media. They have been trending ever since the death news became public.

Fans of the musician are traumatized by the news of the three-year-old’s death. They also shared condolences with the parents.

In an Instagram post, Ayo Makun, a Nigerian star, wrote, “The death of a child is unnatural, unfair, and tragic. She stated, “This hit me so badly.”

Daddy Freeze went live on Instagram in the early hours of November 1, Tuesday morning and said, “When the person you love is involved, it becomes a heavy emotional burden. I am not confirming anything but bear with me. I will not be live tonight.”

Lasisi Elenu also posted on his Facebook account, “Father, heal your children’s hearts from this pain. Strengthen them in such a dark and hurtful time, oh Lord.”
