According to the hospital where the deceased BBNaija star Rico Swavey was admitted following his fatal motor accident, the contestant was drunk at the time of his accident.
Some Good Samaritans brought the Nigerian Artist to the Doren Hospital on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. The actor breathed his last in the establishment in the early hours of Wednesday.
The hospital staff, where the deceased was treated for the final few hours of his life, has rid themselves of the staff’s responsibility. Following the death of Rico Swavey, a video surfaced on the internet depicting the hospital authorities videoing Swavey instead of attending to him.
The hospital released a statement following the star’s death, stating that even though he was admitted to the Emergency Unit, the hospital authorities had attended to him and given him first aid. The hospital also noted that the people who brought the BBNaija Star were also informed about the critical situation. The hospital also told them they needed to consult with a neurosurgeon.
Further, the hospital immediately referred the victim to Evercare Hospital in Lekki Phase. They explained that they had written a detailed referral letter. The victim’s relations received the letter after much persuasion by the hospital staff.
The hospital’s official statement detailed that Before leaving the hospital, Ify Helen Eze, along with another good Samaritan who brought in the victim, decided to make a video to exonerate themselves from being implicated as being responsible for the patient’s condition.
In the most shocking part of the statement, the hospital authorities claimed that at the time of admission, Rico Swavey was unconscious. The hospital alleged that the patient was drunk during his admittance.
After reviewing the photographs and videos of Rico’s car, the authorities suspected that the (driver) was drunk when he collided with the median on the major road.
