Nollywood: Kunle Remi, Zack Orji, star in new crime thriller

Oyako Celine media has produced a new Crime-Thriller in collaboration with the bimmybatfilms. The film is titled ‘WÓKÉ’ and features Nollywood Artists from two generations.

The title of the film, “WÓKÉ”, translates into “Look Up” in the Yoruba language. It also stands for “Stay Woke” in urban English.

The cast of the film includes Veteran Nollywood Actors as well as young actors from the Nigeria Film Industry like Kunle Remi, Zack Orji, Tina Mba, Adedimeji Lateef, Lanre Adediwura, Ohakwe Chinedu Luis, Linda Osifo, shade Emmanuel, Iyke Adiele, Bright Wonder Obasi, Emmanuel Igwe, Uloko Energy, Ivy Agbo, George Nanakwesi Chux and several others.

The filmmakers have shot the film in Lagos and Abuja. It is the story of “Greg”, a former secret service agent. His wife persuades him to take a job brought to him by his former colleague, police inspector, Chuks. Greg accepts the assignment.

According to the movie’s plot, the main character’s mission is to find and rescue the kidnapped daughter of a renowned kingpin named Tega. The world knows him for his corrupt practices. However, he always manages to get past the law and evade justice.

Further, According to the Filmmakers, the newest Nollywood project, being executed by Oyako Celine media in collaboration with bimmybatfilms, is a satire on the present situation in Nigeria.

According to them, “WOKE” shows how things have gone wrong in the nation. This is due to poor character judgements and pointless sentiments.

The movie, Woke explores the possibility of a better Nigeria, the kind of nation that all the residents and citizens of the country dream about.

The movie seeks to educate people to look up, stay woke, and make responsible choices about their life. According to the filmmaker, the people of Nigeria must take all the necessary actions for the nation’s well-being.

The people must disregard all the anger and sentiments which would lead to regret in future.

The Nollywood industry has given a large number of thrillers in the year 2022.
