Deceased BB naija star’s mother urges government to repair roads

The parents of the BB Naija celebrity, Rico Swavey interacted with the media on the subject of his death by a car accident.

The death of the renowned BB Naija star Rico Swavey has made headlines over headlines in the past few weeks. Recently, the parents of the Nigerian reality Television celebrity interacted with the media regarding his death.

In the interview, Rico Swavey’s mother, Halima Liman Hassan, opened up about her son’s death. She admitted that her son’s passing was very emotional for her and that she wasn’t feeling good.


It is no doubt that the passing of the reality television star has affected his parents. Rico Swavey, whose real name is Patrick Fakoya, died within hours of being involved in a fatal road accident.

According to Mrs Hasan, after hearing that her son had been in an accident, her first instinct was to go and see him and be there for him.

In her words, “It’s very emotional. I don’t feel good. When I heard about the accident, my first instinct was to go and see him. Let me be there for him. That was my first instinct. Let me know what happened. Let me see him.”

The grief-stricken mother of the Nigerian reality Tv-Star further stated, “When I saw him, I wasn’t happy, but I was praying that some miracle would happen, and I keep praying,” she said.

During the interview, Halima Hassan explained how bad it is for someone to lose their child while they are still alive. Afterwards, she used the opportunity to address the government and hospitals.

Halima stated that she realized that none of her grievings will bring her son back. Still, she wanted to use the opportunity to plead with hospitals to put money aside to treat trauma accident patients first because she did not wish what happened to her on anybody else.


The celebrity’s death was announced on the internet by his BB Naija colleagues and friends, who had been urging Nigerian fans to help them pay for Rico’s treatment.
