Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye has once again addressed recent allegations regarding his personal life, reiterating that he does not have a second wife or a family either in Nigeria or abroad.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner took to social media to firmly deny claims made by a woman named Yana Voloshchenko, who recently accused him of neglecting his parental duties and failing to provide financial support for their two children.
In a tweet shared on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, Ideye expressed his frustration with the ongoing rumors.
“I have said this before and I’m saying it again. I don’t have a second wife or family, home or abroad. Happily married since 2010, and God blessed my wife and I with two lovely boys. Don’t take my silence for foolishness. Period,” he wrote, addressing the claims head-on.
Voloshchenko, a woman who claims to be the mother of Ideye’s two children, Joel and Mitchell, has reportedly accused the striker of owing over $150,000 in unpaid child support.
She alleges that the former Dynamo Kyiv and West Bromwich Albion forward agreed to pay $7,000 monthly for their children’s upkeep, but has failed to meet those financial commitments.
The accusations have caused significant public attention, with some questioning the relationship dynamics between the Nigerian international and Voloshchenko.
However, Ideye’s emphatic response has sought to put the matter to rest, asserting that he remains committed to his wife and children.
