Nigerian Group Sustainable Development Goals all set to Celebrate Youth Day 2023

The Nigerian Group Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs will host the celebration of Youth Day on Thursday, August 10, 2023, to recognise and support the young people and their sheer commitment towards the nation's sustainable development.

The Nigerian Group Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs aim to support and acknowledge the Young community of Nigeria and focus on the developing aspects of the country. The Nigerian Group SDGs also highlighted the Youth’s contributions to bringing sustainability and development to the nation.

As per the Update, Since 2020, the Nigerian Group SDGs have partnered with Oxfam in Nigeria to celebrate young changemakers on International Youth Day. Last year, the Government of Nigeria launched the Spotlight Awards to recognise and support the fantastic work that young people are doing in Nigeria to drive sustainable development and create positive change in their communities.

Remembering the Last year’s celebration of Youth Day 2022, the NGYouthSDGs also shared some glimpses from the last year’s celebration of Youth Day 2022 on their official social media handle. They also awarded the Youth Leaders with prestigious awards for contributing their efforts to serve society.

Further, while announcing some updates on this year’s Youth Day celebration, The NGYouthSDGs stated, “This year, we’ll highlight the inspiring stories of local youth leaders and their work towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

From innovative solutions to climate change to advocating for gender equality, influencing youth participation in public life, creating access to decent work and forging partnerships for sustainable community development.

At last, while expressing their gratitude and highlighting the contributions of the local Youth, the NGYouthSDGs urged people to mark their calendars for August 10, 2023, celebrations and get ready to be inspired by incredible young people making a difference.
