10 years ago is a decade, but I remember the day we rescued Emem as if it was yesterday. When we interviewed him, it was difficult for me not to cry. The community beat and abused him. Only eight years old. Meanwhile, A few days after we rescued Emem, I bought him and the other children a dog.

I grew up with German Shepherd Dogs and knew dogs could emotionally support traumatized children. Emem was so happy and carried the dog around everywhere. We named her Cecilia.

Through the years, Emem has grown positively and has always been very helpful, social and outgoing. And I could not be any more proud to tell you that Emem just scored above the cutoff point for admission into the university. From the community torturing and abandoning him and accusing him of being a witch, Emem will now embark on an amazing adventure into university to study science

She also shared that 10 years ago, Emem cried and told me about being abused and tortured! Please help me and celebrate Emem. What better way to celebrate Children’s Day?
