Cameroon: Family dead in collision of bus and Truck in Edea region

The accident, which occurred around mid-day on Friday, May 26, claimed the lives of 19 people.

As per the Cameroon News Agency reports, a 19-seater Hiace bus collided with a heavy-duty truck. The gruesome collision happened on National Highway 3 between the old and the new tollgate. According to the testimony of the eyewitnesses, the gruesome crash between the two vehicles. It resulted in the deaths of the complete family. They were on their way to perform the last rites for their mother.

The news of this incident has resulted in a wave of shock and grief in the Littoral region. The people of the area have expressed their deep condolences on the death of the whole family. They expressed their disbelief at the scale of the tragedy and wished for the family to gain peace in their death. The scale of the seriousness of the incident is apparent in the fact that all the family members perished.

Meanwhile, after the 19-seater Hiace bus collided with a heavy-duty truck, the country’s people came forward to criticise the increasing number of accidents. The number of fatalities due to road accidents have also increased substantially in the recent past. Accordingly, the social media users have taken the initiative to ask the authorities to make remedies in the situation.

A social media user has called out the minister of transport for not having a plan to combat the increasing number of road accidents. Accordingly, he has asked the government of Cameroon to arrange for adequate training for the drivers. The training will help the drivers in combatting the increased risk for road accidents in the country.
