Cameroon: Buea Crowd Sets bank robber on fire after he stabs security guard

The Buea region of Cameroon has reported a major incident in the neighbourhood. Reportedly, the crowd in a community in the Buea region set a man on fire. The incident resulted in the death of the said person. Notably, the deceased victim was trying to break into the bank.

Some sources have suggested that the community members witnessed the thief attempting to rob a bank. The eyewitness account states that the security guard stopped him during his attempt at breaking into the bank.

When the security guard attempted to stop the thief from robbing the bank, the culprit stabbed him. The security guard received severe stab wounds as a result of the incident. The intensity of the incident is apparent from the fact that the security guard sustained several injuries. To this end, the security guard bled profusely. The community members immediately took the security guard to the hospital to treat his wounds.

After the thief stabbed the security guard, the community members took matters into their own hands. In the bid to punish the culprit of his crimes, the community let jungle rule take effect. The angered population of Buea set the thief on fire as a punishment for the crime that he committed against the life of the bank security guard.

The video of the incident also surfaced on the internet. The said video featured several disturbing scenes. The CCTV footage captured the unknown robber trying to break into the bank’s premises. The visuals featuring in the CCTV footage showed the crowd gathering around the culprit after he stabbed the security guard.

The crowd beat the culprit and took him under their control. Following this, the crowd set him on fire. The security guard is currently in a hospital. The sources have suggested that he remains in a critical condition so far and his battling for his life.
