Cameroon: Jacquinot Moulong dies, prompts black wednesday in Bangem

Prominent Cameroon journalist Jacquinot Moulong died on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was a resident of the Bangem region in the country. The Journalist was working as the Equinox correspondent in Moungo Division.

Prominent Cameroon journalist Jacquinot Moulong died on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was a resident of the Bangem region in the country. The Journalist was working as the Equinox correspondent in Moungo Division. His death of Moulong prompted the hosting of a Black Wednesday in Bangem in honor of the death of the Journalist Jacquinot Moulong, Equinox correspondent in Moungo Division.

The Journalist, Jacquinot Moulong, died after getting involved in a ghastly accident. He was travelling at the time of the accident and was on his way from the twin lakes in Bangem. Further, The young Journalist Jacquinot Moulong’s death led to an extreme reaction from the people. Accordingly, The people have extended their heartfelt condolences in the form of rest in peace messages on Facebook.

The prominent Journalist’s death has resulted in a wave of sadness for the people of Bangem. The people of the country have shared their condolences on the incident. The Journalist was a part of the convoy of the regional delegate for basic education for South West. At the time of the accident, the Journalist was on a work trip to Bangem.

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, the convoy had an accident while they were returning from visiting the twin lakes at Mbueh Hill. The sources suggest that the accident happened because of a brake failure. The administrative car of the delegate with 5 People on board, including the driver, was affected. The driver died on the spot due to the impact of the accident.

Of the other occupants of the vehicle, four people were present at the scene of incident in totality. 2 of these were Equinox journalists. One person, Jacquinot Moulong died on the spot due to the accident. Meanwhile, the authorities rushed the 3 survivors of the incident to the Nkongsamba Regional Hospital. The other three people are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
