The south region of Cameroon has reported a gruesome incident. The Management and authorities of an unnamed hotel in Sangmelima discovered the dead body of a woman on November 2, 2022.
The city of Sangmelima is a city in the southern region area of Cameroon. The girl remains unidentified as of now. According to hotel administration, the girl had checked into the hotel with a bush faller. (A term used by Africans to describe a person who has travelled to a developed nation)
The hotel administration found the young girl in the hotel room. Her perpetrator had mutilated the girl severely and had even removed her genitals and teeth.
The hotel administration revealed that the man who was accompanying the victim was repeatedly leaving and returning to the room without the (now deceased) victim. This behaviour made the employees of the hotel suspicious. Following this, they decided to check on the victim and the (suspect) man accompanying her.
According to some sources, the girl was in Sangmelima for a pleasure trip. The hotel authorities checked on the girl two days after the man (in her company) left. On entering the room where the couple was staying, the hotel employees found the girl tied with a rope behind her neck.
They also discovered that the perpetrator had removed the girl’s genitals and teeth. The hotel described the incident as gruesome and horrifying.
According to the Facebook page, which serves as a personal blog, by the name of NÄDÏS, this is not the first incident of such cruelty in the Cameroon region. Five more girls had gone missing in the area in the recent past. These girls also remain unidentified by the sources of the media.
However, similar to the women in question, the police and judicial authorities have found the other five with their bodies similarly mutilated. The unknown culprit also removed their teeth and genitals.
